| Herbs have relatively large
surface areas, and tend to absorb chemicals easily. Most
conventional herbs and spices are irradiated and farmed with
the use of pesticides that are present in high quantites.
Fortunately, organic herbs and spices are not irradiated, are
produced to strict organic farming standards and are available
in most supermarkets and from a growing band of boutique
organic growers. |
